Carl Burroughs - Marketing Planning & Advisor

With a career spanning almost 30 years at the forefront of entrepreneurial business concepts, Carl Burroughs has always been at the cutting edge of his chosen field. His career began in the UK where he was involved in the creation of the first combined Legal and Real Estate practice.

After immigrating to Australia in 1993 Carl set up Australia's fastest growing independent telecommunications group; today, Carl provides the marketing edge to IDM. Inspired by writers such as Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie, Michael Gerber and Keith Cunningham, all of whom have motivated and educated thousands of people all over the world, Carl applies his business, marketing and inspirational knowledge to the dental profession.

To date, Carl has helped over 600 Australian dental practices as well as consulting with practices in Singapore, North America and the United Kingdom and regularly writes columns for dental journals and lecturing on the subject of marketing of all types of dental practices.

In addition to successfully helping hundreds of dental practices with their marketing needs Carl has also been instrumental in introducing many business concepts into the Australian dental market, including, the first dental only patient finance facility "Smile Card" which was subsequently acquired by Macquarie Bank. Carl was also instrumental in the inception of "13 DENTIST" a national marketing campaign, driving patients into the practices of members, and the concept and management of Australia?s foremost independent dental training facility DEC (Dental Education Centre).


Brooke Zielke- Senior Project Manager

With more than 15 years experience in the dental profession, Brooke has an extensive understanding of dental knowledge, skills and concepts. Having graduated as a Dental Therapist, she worked within the Queensland Health Department for many years, offering clinical and preventative oral health dental care to school children.

Whilst living abroad for many years, she gained more invaluable experience within the dental industry, offering her skills and services in both private and public dental practices across the UK.

Upon her return to Australia, she commenced employment as a clinical and surgical assistant to Adjunct Associate Professor Richard Chan, renowned Sydney based dental surgeon who operated a practice offering implant surgical and prosthodontic dentistry. During this time, Brooke also undertook the project of co-ordinating the relocation of Professor Chan's practice into a new multi-purpose, multi-chair implant Centre in the Sydney CBD. Centre for Dental Implants Sydney was created as a result of Brooke's expertise, dedication and commitment to this project and subsequently became renowned as a Centre of Excellence in offering patients and referring practitioners a facility of exemplary implant dentistry care.

Brooke's unquestionable experience and passion for dentistry led to a long term working alliance with Professor Chan, not only as the Practice Manager of Centre for Dental Implants Sydney for many years, but also in providing support to Professor Chan as his personal assistant.

Brooke's appointment as Senior Project Manager at IDM highlights her dedication and ambition in extending her dental expertise within the oral health fraternity. She brings a wealth of dental clinical skills and knowledge, practice and project management experience and unquestionable enthusiasm to the IDM team. Her desire to provide all professionals associated within the dental industry with the highest level of support and services highlights her invaluable role at IDM.

Brooke applies her skills to ensure the team at IDM has the resources necessary to accurately advise and implement project initiatives for each client. She provides support for sales, project management and design and is constantly researching new ways of allowing the IDM team to best serve each client. She offers all clients valuable information on marketing, branding, design concepts and IT solutions.
